We’re looking for a motivated and reliable
Nightshift Lead Cleaner to take charge of our cleaning operations during the
busy harvest season, while working as a Cleaner across the rest of the year.
This is a hands-on, permanent role where you’ll set the standard for
cleanliness, lead a seasonal team, and help keep our facilities safe and
compliant all year round.
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
During harvest you’ll step up as Nightshift Lead
Cleaner, leading seasonal cleaners, managing stock and supplies, and ensuring
cleaning is carried out to strict health, safety, and food safety standards.
Outside of harvest you’ll continue to support our Facilities team with
day-to-day cleaning to maintain a high standard across the site.
Your mahi will include:
- Leading
and training seasonal cleaners during harvest nightshifts
- Cleaning
site-wide facilities and amenities year-round
- Managing
cleaning supplies and ensuring correct chemical use
- Keeping
records, audits, and SOPs up to date
- Contributing
to daily team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring
Health & Safety and food safety compliance at all times
- Supporting
sustainability practices across operations
He kōrero mōu | About you
You’ll bring:
- Previous
cleaning experience (food safety knowledge an advantage)
- Leadership
or supervisory experience, ideally in a similar role
- Understanding
of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices
- Strong
organisation, communication, and record-keeping skills
- Ability
to remain calm and proactive under pressure
- Commitment
to Health & Safety, quality, and sustainability
