Packhouse Supervisor (Dayshift & Nightshift)

We’re looking for an experienced and confident Packhouse Supervisor to support us during main season to lead our trayline, packing or grading areas, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistently high standards across production, quality, and Health & Safety.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the packhouse floor and enjoys coaching teams to perform at their best.

Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

Reporting to the Packhouse Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, providing leadership, coordination, and support to teams working in fast-paced production environments. You’ll be responsible for meeting Trevelyan’s and Zespri standards while driving performance, quality, and safety outcomes.

Your mahi will include:

• Supervising Trayline, Packing or Grading operations to ensure smooth, efficient flow
• Leading a team in your designated area, working collaboratively with other Supervisors and team members.
• Ensuring compliance with BRC, food safety, hygiene, PPE, and BioGro standards
• Maintaining traceability, training, and compliance records
• Leading daily HAKA, Gemba, and interval meetings
• Monitoring KPIs for production, labour cost, and quality
• Coaching and training team members to perform confidently and safely
• Supporting coordination with EAN, sampling, and quality teams
• Leading by example with clear, fair, and consistent leadership

You’re an experienced packhouse leader who enjoys working closely with people and operations. You communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and have a strong eye for quality and detail. You’re comfortable supervising across multiple production areas and keeping teams aligned.

• Previous packhouse experience
• Supervisory or leadership experience across packing, grading or trayline operations
• Strong people management and coaching capability
• Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, hands-on leadership style
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety and food safety standards
