People Experience Advisor
We’re looking for an organised and people-focused People Experience Advisor to help create a positive and connected experience for everyone at Trevelyan’s. This fixed-term role plays an important part in supporting onboarding, engagement, communication and employee experience initiatives across both our permanent and seasonal workforce.
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
Reporting to the People & Performance Business Partner, you’ll coordinate key people initiatives that strengthen connection, belonging, and engagement across the organisation. You’ll support employees and leaders throughout the employee journey, helping ensure our people feel welcomed, informed, and supported.
Your mahi will include:
- Coordinating onboarding and induction for employees to ensure a welcoming and consistent experience
- Supporting recruitment as required across seasonal and permanent roles
- Delivering employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition and team connection initiatives
- Maintaining clear and inclusive internal communications across all teams and sites
- Supporting employee experience surveys, focus groups and feedback processes
- Helping leaders follow through on feedback and communicate progress to employees
- Providing day-to-day employee support and responding to queries
- Supporting managers with performance conversations, expectation setting and disciplinary processes
- Coordinating workplace drug testing in line with health and safety requirements
- Maintaining accurate employment documentation and ensuring compliance with NZ employment legislation and company policies
- Assisting with People & Culture projects that enhance employee experience
- Supporting reception coverage within the employment office as required
- Promoting safe work practices, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement across the business

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and creating positive workplace experiences. You’re organised, approachable, and confident engaging with a wide range of employees across a busy operational environment.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in HR or a people-focused advisory role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of frontline or seasonal workforce environments would be beneficial
- Confidence building relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- A warm, approachable and culturally inclusive style
- Experience supporting performance conversations, conflict resolution, or disciplinary processes would be an advantage
- An interest in using employee feedback or workforce data to support insights and improvements
