Packaging Coordinator
We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable, organised, and hands-on Packaging Assistant to join our team. This role is about much more than stock and boxes. You’ll help keep our packhouse running efficiently, support production, and play an important part in delivering high-quality produce to our customers. It’s a varied role with plenty of opportunity to learn and develop practical skills in inventory, operations, and problem-solving.
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, this hands-on role is central to keeping our packaging organised, well stocked, and ready to support production. You’ll monitor packaging levels, maintain records, coordinate orders and identify and solve issues that could affect operations. Your work ensures packaging is in the right place at the right time so the packhouse can run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with the Packaging Manager and teams across the site, gaining exposure to different parts of our operations and opportunities to contribute to improvements.
Your mahi will include:
- Monitoring packaging stock and ensuring it’s ready where and when it’s needed
- Updating stock tracking systems and investigating discrepancies
- Supporting operational workflows by identifying and resolving packaging issues
- Coordinating packaging orders and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting the Packaging Manager with day-to-day operations
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with teams across the packhouse
- Contributing to Health & Safety and continuous improvement initiatives

You’ll bring:
- Stocktaking, warehouse, inventory, or operational experience preferred (but not essential)
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Excel and general computer skills
- Good observation and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organised, and proactive with strong communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on role
- Calm under pressure with initiative and commitment to health and safety
